Transmission’s Garage officially launched in 2022, but the knowledge behind it goes back more than 15 years, starting in a family-owned transmission shop in Mexico. Our founder grew up working alongside skilled relatives, learning the ins and outs of manual transmission repair and rebuilding from an early age. In that shop, precision, patience, and pride in workmanship weren’t just values — they were a way of life.
After relocating to Texas, that same hands-on experience and passion for manual gearboxes led to a growing local demand. What started as weekend side work turned into a full-time operation. By 2022, Transmission’s Garage was officially established in Beaumont, Texas, built on a foundation of family tradition, trust, and technical skill.
Today, we specialize exclusively in manual transmissions and have rebuilt and shipped hundreds of units across the U.S., all while staying true to our roots — delivering honest, high-quality work you can count on.
My journey with manual transmissions began long before Transmission’s Garage ever existed. I was raised in a family-owned transmission shop in Mexico, where I spent my early years learning the trade hands-on — not just how to rebuild a gearbox, but how to earn a customer’s trust through quality work and honesty.
Driven by that foundation, I pursued my education and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, later completing an MBA to better understand the business side of the industry. But no matter how far I went academically, I never lost touch with the shop floor — it’s where my passion has always been.
After moving to Texas, I noticed something was missing: a shop that specialized exclusively in manual transmissions, where attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship came first. So in 2022, I started Transmission’s Garage with one clear goal — to bring back the kind of old-school quality and service that’s hard to find today.
